This policy covers floodcomparefl.com and the flood quote request form on it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
What we collect
Only what you type into the quote form. That is the property address and its physical details, your flood history and current coverage if you tell us, the coverage you are asking for, and your name, email address and phone number so an agent can reach you. For a commercial request it also includes the business name and a description of what the business does.
The form also records a reference code and the time elapsed between loading the page and sending it. Both exist to filter automated submissions.
We never ask for a Social Security number, a date of birth, a bank account or a payment card on this website, and we do not run a credit check from anything you submit here.
Why we collect it
To prepare a flood insurance quote and to contact you about it. That is the only purpose. We do not use quote requests to build a marketing list, and submitting one does not sign you up for anything.
Who sees it
Licensed staff at this agency, and the insurance carriers and wholesale brokers we approach on your behalf to obtain a quote. Nobody else. We do not sell your information, we do not trade it, and we do not pass it to lead aggregators.
Documents
If we need your elevation certificate or a current declarations page, we will email you a secure upload link. Please do not send those documents as ordinary email attachments. Email is not an encrypted channel and those files often carry more personal detail than the quote itself.
Cookies and tracking
The quote form keeps your answers in your own browser's session storage so you do not lose them moving between steps. That data stays on your device and is cleared when you finish or close the tab. We set no advertising cookies and run no third party advertising trackers on this site.
How long we keep it
Quote requests that do not become policies are retained for up to two years, because people often come back at renewal. If a policy is issued, records are kept for as long as Florida insurance regulation requires. You can ask us to delete a request sooner and we will, unless we are required to keep it.
Your choices
Write or call and you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or tell us to stop contacting you. We will confirm in writing. There is no form for this and no waiting period beyond the time it takes a person to do it.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top. We will inform you via email whenever changes are made.
